Buyers of the laters Apple Watch Series 7 can now get their very own x-ray or see-through wallpapers courtesy of the fine folks at iFixit..
Wallpapers are available for the 41mm and 45mm versions of the watch, with onlookers getting to see the insides of an Apple Watch in a way most of us will never do for realsies.
It seems that Apple Watch perfection is attained not when there are no more components to add, but when there are no more things to remove. On the Series 7, Apple didn't launch a radical redesign, but instead removed a diagnostic port, consolidated display technology to remove a display cable, and made yet more room for battery power. We worked with three former Apple engineers on our Series 7 teardown to put those changes, and others, in context.
These things might just be the best Apple Watch wallpapers we've ever seen and you can of course use them on any Apple Watch, too. You'll of course need to change your watch face to use one of these wallpapers, but they look so great who wouldn't want to do that?
With Apple Watch Series 7 having been on sale for a couple of months, attention is already turning to what comes next. Talk of an Apple Watch Series 8, new Apple Watch SE, and a rugged Apple Watch is everywhere right now.
