Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will ship a new MacBook Air in the middle of 2022 with a redesign, new colors, and a mini-LED, echoing previous reports.
In a note seen by iMore Kuo states that Apple's new mini-LEd Macbook Air is coming in the middle of next year and that it is uncertain whether Apple will continue to sell the MacBook Air with M1, currently one of Apple's best MacBooks.
Kuo says this could mean the new Air is the same price as the current model, or if it isn't discontinued that it gets a discount. Kuo also says the new MacBook Air will feature a redesign like the upcoming rumored mini-LED MacBook Pro, and colors, as previously leaked by Jon Prosser, who said an upcoming MacBook would get new colors like the new iMac.
It has previously been reported that the new MacBook will also feature MagSafe, from a previous report:
Writing in this weekend's issue of the Power On newsletter, Gurman said that the new MacBook Air will arrive at some point in 2022, adding that it will include support for MagSafe as well. While we don't know for sure what that will actually look like, it does sound very much like we're going to get a magnetic charging solution for Apple's notebooks once again. I'd also expect that to be brought to other Mac portables in due course, too.
Multiple specific rumors now indicate a new MacBook Air is coming in the middle of next year, with a mini-LED display seemingly now a certainty. Rumors abound it will also feature a new generation of Apple silicon.
