What you need to know
- Apple's quality control had a bit of a moment and an iPhone 11 Pro with a misaligned logo shipped to a customer.
- The rare iPhone 11 Pro reportedly sold for $2700.
The wonky iPhone 11 Pro is a rare one, but is it worth that kind of money?
Apple's quality control is normally pretty on point but mistakes do happen. So, when an iPhone 11 Pro popped up with a misaligned Apple logo, someone took notice. So much so, that someone actually paid $2700 to get their hands on it.
That's according to a new tweet by Apple watcher @ArchiveInternal, with the extremely rare iPhone said to have sold for the surprisingly large sum of money. The Twitter account didn't go into detail as to who paid the money or where the transaction took place, though.
A misprint iPhone 11 Pro that sold for 2700$. This misprint is extremely rare- I’d say 1 in 100 million or possibly even rarer. pic.twitter.com/68F7giZAbm

At least it's the only color anyone should be buying an iPhone 11 Pro in – Midnight Green!
Apple surely has mistakes like this winky logo pop up more often than you'd think, but the fact it made its way through quality control is the most interesting thing here. With millions of iPhones sold every year Apple normally does a surprisingly good job of making sure they're good to go before leaving the factory. Not so much this time, apparently!
Rare or not, I'm not sure I could spend this kind of money on a wonky iPhone. Not when you can spend less than half that and get the best iPhone Apple has ever made!
